- 26 Sept 2026
- Anti-dumping watch started tracking UK trade remedies on goods from China: 24 duties in force and 12 open cases.
Where this comes from
- Cases and commodity codes from the Trade Remedies Authority’s public case list and case pages.
- Rates from the UK Trade Tariff for each code, with China as the origin. Anti-dumping and countervailing duties are added together, as both are charged.
- Checked 26 Sept 2026. Duties start, change and end, so check your code on the tariff (or in the landed-cost calculator, which reads it live) before you order.
Some duties apply only to part of a commodity code, depending on the exact product description, and a named exporter’s rate needs the right declaration on the invoice. Choosing the right code, and whether the duty applies, is the importer’s responsibility.

Questions about anti-dumping duty
What is anti-dumping duty?
An extra import duty on particular goods from particular countries, charged on top of normal customs duty. The UK’s Trade Remedies Authority investigates, and the government sets the duty when goods are found to be sold in the UK below their normal value and harming UK producers. Countervailing duty works the same way against unfair subsidies.
How do I know if my product from China carries anti-dumping duty?
Find your 10-digit commodity code and check it on the UK Trade Tariff with China as the country of origin, or look for your product in the list on this page. The landed-cost calculator on this site does the check automatically for any code.
Why do some Chinese exporters pay a lower rate?
Exporters that co-operated with the investigation get their own rate, often lower than the rate for all other exporters. The lower rate only applies if the invoice carries the declaration the tariff asks for; without it, the higher rate applies.
What does provisional mean?
A provisional duty is charged while an investigation is still running. The final (definitive) duty can be higher, lower or removed when the investigation ends.
Is your product on the list?
I check the code, the duty and whether your supplier is a named exporter with a lower rate, before you pay a deposit.
